Ain't nobody's business but the Turks

Once out of nature I shall never take
My bodily form from any natural thing,
But such a form as Grecian goldsmiths make
Of hammered gold and gold enamelling
To keep a drowsy Emperor awake;
Or set upon a golden bough to sing
To lords and ladies of Byzantium
Of what is past, or passing, or to come.

Isn't it great? But what's kind of amazing to me is that they were surprised by it. Not knowing anything or having thought about the subject, I'd have just assumed that neolithic people would have totally been ALL OVER the Bosporus. I guess this is why I'm not an anthropologist.

But 6000BC I mean DAMN.
